Effects of Different Bagging Materials on Fruit Quality of Citrus Hybrid'Ehime Kashi No.28'
[Objective]Explore the effect of different bagging materials on the fruit quality of citrus hybrid'Ehime Kashi No.28'in order to select suitable bagging materials.[Method]Different commercially bagging materials were applied on citrus hybrid'Ehime Kashi No.28'.[Result]The results showed that the commodity fruit rate without bagging was only 41.3%,while bagging could significantly improved the appearance quality of fruits, resulting in uniform coloring and commodity fruit rates of over 65.3%.The highest commodity fruit rate was achieved by using a single layer of yellow and black paper bags, with a high commodity rate of 76.0%.At the same time, bagging could also increase the soluble solids content of fruits and reduce titratable acids. The outer yellow and inner black three-layer paper bag could lead to the highest soluble solids content of fruits(11.6%)significantly higher than no bagging. The outer yellow and inner black two-layer paper bag and the outer yellow and inner black three-layer paper bag could significantly increase the ratio of soluble solids content to titratable acidity content and enhance fruit flavor. The economic benefit analysis also showed that bagging can significantly improve the economic benefits of fruit farmers, and the plant output value of bagging was increased by 118.0 to 189.5 yuan.[Conclusion]Bagging could improve commodity fruit rate and fruit quality of citrus hybrid'Ehime Kashi No.28'and increase farmers'income. When considering fruits were sold on a wholesale price, outer yellow and inner black single-layer paper bag should be taken for good appearance and high economic benefits. When considering high-end fruits were sold, outer yellow and inner black three-layer paper bag should be taken, resulting in higher soluble solids content and ratio of soluble solids content to titratable acidity content and high fruit quality.
