The Structural Design of an Over-limit High-rise Residential Building in a High Seismic Intensity Area
The paper evaluates the structural over-limit situation of a high-rise residential building in a high-seismic-intensity area in Tianjin.Multiple irregularities were found,including height over-limit,torsional irregularity and concave-convex irregularity.To tackle these issues,reasonable seismic performance objectives were set,and the structure's force performance during frequent,design,and rare earthquakes was investigated using various structural analysis software.Elastic time history analysis and static elastic-plastic analysis were used to further analyze the seismic response of the structure and to identify the weak points of the structure.The weak points were strength-ened accordingly to satisfy the predetermined performance goals.
