Contemporary and modem cultural relics buildings are contemporary and modem representative buildings related to major histori-cal events,revolutionary movements or famous figures since 1840,and have important memorial significance,educational significance or his-torical value.Protection is of great practical significance.Repair and protection is the key to preservation.Wenque building is a district level cultural relic protection unit in Jimei District of Xiamen City.Taking Wenque building as an example,based on the investigation of the his-torical background of the building,the analysis of the building form,and the evaluation of the building value and quality,this paper finally puts forward the principles and measures of the repair and protection.
