Study on the Influence of Two Kinds of Carbonaceous Materials on the Thermal Oxygen Aging Resistance of Asphalt Mixtures
Thermal oxidative aging is one of the main aging forms of asphalt mixtures, and improving the thermal oxidative aging resistance of asphalt mixtures is a key factor in determining the durability of asphalt pavement. In order to study the effect of two types of carbonaceous materials on the thermal oxidative aging resistance of asphalt mixtures, modified asphalt mixtures with different amounts of biochar, carbon black, and biochar carbon black composite blending were prepared.A series of indoor experiments were conducted to evaluate the road per-formance of asphalt mixtures before and after aging under different blending methods. The results showed that when the composite ratio of biochar and carbon black was 9%:3%,the road performance of asphalt mixture before and after aging was improved, making it have good resistance to thermal oxygen aging. If it is in dry and cold areas, the composite blending ratio of biochar and carbon black can be adjusted to 6%:6%to maintain the best low-temperature crack resistance of asphalt mixture.
