This paper takes the inpatient department of a general hospital in Fujian as an example to introduce the design process of HVAC in the inpatient department.Based on the characteristics of the project,the demand analysis of the heating and cooling system,air condi-tioning and ventilation system,chilled water system,ventilation shaft and the selection of the heating and cooling system equipment were introduced in detail.Finally,we can get the design scheme of the air conditioning and ventilation system and it's chilled water system of the inpatient department,as well as the matters needing attention for inpatient HVAC design.Through the analysis and summary of this project,it provides a reference for engineer colleagues to understand the HVAC design of the inpatient department.
