In recent years,affected by urbanization and extreme weather,rainfall in the southern region has increased dramatically,which in turn has triggered frequent flooding in colleges and universities.Through the study of some typical cases,we analyze the causes of flooding in southern campuses.Taking colleges and universities in the southern region as the target,integrating the concept of low-impact develop-ment,realizing the infiltration and retention of rainwater with the help of"ecological sponge",and treating and reusing the stored rainwater and domestic wastewater by means of rainwater and sewage diversion,non-conventional water utilization,etc.,to build an ecologically-o-riented sponge campus in the southern region.
