Preservation and restoration research of Qilou buildings in Southern Fujian
The Qilou buildings in southern Fujian Province were once one of the most regional economy architectural forms that fit the cli-mate characteristics of southern Fujian.Due to aging materials,improper maintenance and other problems,a large number of Qilou build-ings need preservation and restoration.This paper systematically introduces the complete set of technologies for the conservation and repair of Qilou buildings in southern Fujian,including the purpose,goal,principle and type of the repair,as well as specific implementation technologies from the aspects of survey and safety assessment,repair materials,repair design and repair construction.It can better guide the protection and repair work of the Qilou buildings in southern Fujian Province.
