This paper takes the Workers'Cultural Palace in the NingdeNorthern New District as a case study to explore the characteristics of such cultural and sports complex buildings and the design ideas for their heating ventilating and air conditioning systems.The article analy-zes the project overview,local climatic characteristics,functional requirements,and the characteristics of air conditioning load changes of the building.It proposes an air conditioning system design scheme that takes into account both energy-saving and comfort.The paper systemat-ically introduces the design of air conditioning systems and flexible operation strategies for venues such as the swimming pool,multifunction-al auditorium,and comprehensive sports hall.In addition,it discusses in depth the selection of air conditioning terminal equipment,air sys-tem design,and the application of natural ventilation,aiming to provide practical design references and ideas for similar projects.
