Strategies for Cultivating Ecological Awareness in Junior High School Students Based on UbD Theory——Taking the Project-based Learning of"Investigating Biological Organisms in the Surrounding Environment"as an example
Currently, there are problems in the cultivation of students'ecological awareness in junior high school biology education, such as mere conceptual input, lack of practical experience, and difficulty in meeting the research and development needs of students.Taking the specific teaching practice of"Investigating Biological Organisms in the Surrounding Environment"from the seventh-grade biology text-book published by the People's Education Edition as an example, this paper designs a project-based learning activity of"Campus Biodiver-sity Survey"based on the UbD theory. This approach encourages students to enhance their core literacy in biology and cultivate ecological awareness through activities such as on-site investigation and data collection.
