A New Species of Iridaceae from Fujian Province—Iris fujianensis
A new species of Iris of Iridaceae—Iris fujianensis X.X.Su was discoveried in Jian'ou,Nanping City,Fujian Prov-ince.Growing on both sides of narrow mountain streams in the uninhabited areas of central Fujian,there were three small populations with a total of about 200 plants.This species has a similar morphology to the Iris speculatrix Hance,with the main difference being that the leaves are wide and long,slightly powdery white;the flower has a large diameter,with blue markings on the inner seg-ments.The stem is surrounded by sheath-like leaves,and the bracts at the top of the stem contain a flower.The fruit stalk is not bent.The type specimen is stored in the Chenshan Herbarium(CSH)in Shanghai,and the ecological photos are preserved on the"China Natural Specimen"platform(CFH).
