This study reviews the current status of Important Wetlands monitoring in Shanghai from the perspective of wetland ecosys-tem services.Through a comprehensive review of wetland monitoring status,it summarizes the shortcomings in the current monitoring efforts,and outline future directions for wetland monitoring.This research lays the groundwork for the establishment of a monitoring network for wetlands in Shanghai,contributing to ongoing efforts in wetland conservation and management.
