Research on Bearing Capacity and Stiffness Characteristics of Annular Wing
Annular wing is a closed non-planar wing configuration.Compared with the conventional wing of cantilever structure,the stiffness and bearing capacity of annular wing are different.In order to research and compare the stiffness and bearing capacity of annular and conventional wings,com-parison models and corresponding finite element models are established under different design condi-tions.Under the corresponding design conditions,pressure distribution of each model is extracted and applied to the finite element model,and the maximum stress and deformation of each model are cal-culated.The results show that annular wing has higher stiffness and bearing capacity compared with the conventional wing.The research can promote applications of annular wing on UAV.
