Effects of Biochar and Rare Earth Fertilizer Addition on Physiological Characteristics of Honey Pomelo
Seedlings of honey pomelo were cultivated under identical conditions by the application of four different fertilization treatments including the conventional fertilizer+biochar+rare earth fertilizer, conventional fertilizer+biofertilizer, conventional fertilizer+rare earth fertilizer, and conventional fertilizer alone so as to investigate the effects of biochar and rare earth fertilizer additions on the physiological characteristics of honey pomelo.Upon completion of cultivation,it was measured in honey pomelo the superoxide dismutase(SOD),peroxidase(POD),catalase(CAT),malondialdehyde(MDA),free proline(Pro),relative electrical conductivity(REC),chlorophyll A(ChlA),chlorophyll B(ChlB)and total chlorophyll(Chl). The results showed that the addition of biochar and rare earth fertilizer could significantly enhance the biomass of honey pomelo, reduce the content of SOD,POD,and CAT,promote photosynthesis, and elevate chlorophyll content in pomelo leaves.
