Impact of Land Use Patterns on Soil Physicochemical Properties in the Xiyuan River Watershed
The Xiyuan River Watershed was taken as the example for the comparison and study of the relations among the soil mechanical composition,pH value and soil organic matter(OM)in the 0-30 cm soil layers under three different land use patterns by using the one-way ANOVA,Welch's ANOVA,and Spearman rank correlation coefficient. The results showed that:(1)the normality test of pH value, soil organic matter, and mechanical composition indicated a normal distribution, with the absolute value of kurtosis less than 10 and absolute value of skewness less than 3.Additionally,the P-value obtained from the tests of homogeneity of variance for all sample data was less than 0.05;(2)there was a significant difference in pH value observed between the orchard and the grassland,as well as between the forest land and the grassland;(3)the mean pH value in the orchard and the forest land were both lower than 7,while mean pH value in the grassland was higher than 7.The mean values of organic matter content showed the order of forest land>orchard>grassland, while the mean values of physical clay content showed the order of orchard>forest land>grassland;(4)the significant negative correlation was found between pH and physical clay content, while the significant positive correlation was found between pH and physical sand content. However,no correlation was observed between organic matter(OM)and pH or between organic matter(OM)and physical clay content.
