Characteristics of Runoff and Sediment Production on the Slope of Engineering Accumulation under Different Temporary Measures
It was probed into the influence of different temporary measures of soil and water conservation on the runoff and sediment production on the slope of engineering accumulation in the construction projects.Based on the characteristics of engineering accumulation and on-site investigation of local rainfall conditions,a generalized indoor artificial simulation rainfall test is designed to explore the runoff and sediment production characteristics and water and sediment reduction benefits of engineering accumulation slopes under temporary blocking and covering conditions. The results show that:1)the runoff yield of slope under temporary blocking and mulching measures is similar and increases with the increase of slope and rainfall intensity; The slope sediment yield under the two measures is much less than that under the bare soil condition, and it is even smaller under the mulching measure.2)The maximum runoff reduction benefits of temporary blocking and mulching measures are 40.93%and 37.35%respectively,and the maximum benefits of sediment reduction are 85.16%and 89.21%respectively.Combined with the actual situation,it is suggested that mulching measures should be adopted as temporary measures for soil and water conservation in the construction of production and construction projects, which can effectively prevent soil erosion. This study can provide theoretical basis for soil and water conservation during the construction period of production and construction projects.
