This article explores the impact of public service reform on sports policy in the UK.Five key stages in British history demonstrate the evolution of this impact:early improvements in health and facilities,the advance-ment of sports programs during the nationalization period,the redistribution of resources under the impact of mar-ketization,the emphasis on sports participation during the modernization phase,and recent focus on sustainability and social impact.The article concludes that public service reform has had a profound effect on sports policy,while also highlighting the challenges faced and providing references for the development of sports policy in our country.
