The Effect of Physical Exercise on Adolescent Prosocial Risk-Taking Behavior:A Mediation Model of Double Moderation
To explore the effect of physical exercise on adolescent prosocial risk-taking behavior and its mecha-nism.A questionnaire survey of 871 high school students was conducted in the form of convenient sampling, using the Physical Activity Rating Scale, the Self-esteem Scale, the Sensory Seeking Scale, the Children and Adoles-cents Peer Relationship Scale, and the Prosocial Risk-taking Behavior Scale, and the mediation model of double moderation was constructed. The results showed that:(1)Adolescent physical exercise had a positive predictive effect on prosocial risk-taking behavior,self-esteem and sensory seeking;(2)Physical exercise could not only directly predict adolescent prosocial risk-taking behavior, but also indirectly predict prosocial risk-taking behav-ior through the mediating role of self-esteem.(3)Sensory seeking plays a moderating role in the second half of the model. The results of this study provide a theoretical basis for adolescents to participate in more prosocial risk-taking behaviors, which is conducive to reducing negative risk-taking behaviors and contributing to the goal of building a harmonious society.
