The Relationship between Physical Exercise and Perceived Social Support:a Moderated Mediation Model
Objective:To explore the mechanism of the relationship between physical exercise and social support of ordinary college students in China;A moderated mediation model was established with self-efficacy as the media-ting variable and gender as the moderating variable.Methods:480 college students in Jiangsu Province were tested by physical activity scale,perceptive social support scale and self-efficacy scale.Results:(1)The amount of physical exercise of male students was significantly greater than that of female students;(2)Physical exercise can significantly positively predict college students'perceptive social support and self-efficacy,and self-efficacy can positively predict perceptive social support;(3)Self-efficacy plays a partial mediating role between physical exer-cise and understanding social support;(4)Gender plays a regulating role in the relationship between physical exer-cise and self-efficacy.Conclusion:Self-efficacy plays a mediating role in the relationship between physical exer-cise and perceived social support,and gender plays a moderating role in the relationship between physical exercise and self-efficacy.
