Dual Perspectives and Enlightenment of the Principles of Badminton Draw in Tokyo Olympic Games
The rules of badminton competition at the Tokyo Olympics are an important theoretical achievement in the exploration of the development path of badminton by the Badminton World Federation. The principle of drawing lots reflects the important idea of mobilizing badminton association athletes from around the world to actively partici-pate in the competition. The current lottery principle was formed through in-depth reflection on the relationship between the theory and practice of sustainable development of badminton at the 2012 London Olympics, especially the drawbacks of the lottery for women's doubles at the London Olympics.By using methods such as literature re-view,expert interviews, mathematical statistics, and comparative analysis, the rationality of the current lottery principle was demonstrated from the perspectives of"equal opportunities"and"balanced control".From the four aspects of competition rules, competition system adjustment, lottery reform, and important supplements, the thinking on enhancing the viewing and intensity of the competition was elaborated. In addition,it also contains a reform methodology of timely summarizing experience in practice. These valuable ideas are worth learning from and referring to in the development of high-level professional badminton events or mass amateur badminton events in China in the future.
