Observation on the Clinical Efficacy of Blade Acupuncture in the Treatment of Acute Lumbar Sprain
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of blade needle therapy in the treatment of acute lumbar sprain and evaluate the effectiveness of blade needle therapy in treating acute lumbar sprain.Method:Sixty patients with acute lumbar sprain were treated with blade acupuncture therapy in the observation group, while 30 patients in the control group were treated with acupuncture at bilateral Houxi points combined with exercise therapy. The pain visual score(VAS),lower back pain life and work ability score(JOA),joint range of motion in various directions of the waist, lumbar muscle strength, and clinical efficacy of the two groups were compared before and after treat-ment.Result:Before treatment, there was no significant difference in VAS score,JOA score, lumbar range of mo-tion in all directions, and lumbar strength in all directions between the two groups of patients(P>0.05);Intra-group comparison showed that there were statistically significant differences in VAS score,JOA score, lumbar range of motion in all directions, and muscle strength in all directions before and after treatment in the observation group(P<0.01);There was a statistically significant difference in VAS score,JOA score, lumbar flexion and extension range of motion, lumbar flexion and extension strength before and after treatment in the control group(P<0.01),while there was a statistically significant difference in lumbar lateral flexion range of motion, left and right rotation range of motion, and left and right rotation range of motion(P<0.05);Inter group comparison showed that the degree of VAS score decrease,JOA score increase, lumbar flexion and extension activity, lumbar flexion and ex-tension muscle strength increase in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).The left and right lateral flexion, left and right rotation activity, and left and right rotation muscle strength of the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.01);The recovery rate and significant efficiency of the observation group were 26.67% and60%,respectively,higher than the control group by 3.33% and 43.33%,with statistical signifi-cance(P<0.05),but there was no statistically significant difference in the overall cure rate. Conclusion:Both blade needle and acupuncture exercise therapy are effective in treating acute lumbar sprains, but blade needle ther-apy is more effective than acupuncture exercise therapy. Its method is safe, simple, does not require needle reten-tion,has a short duration, and good therapeutic effect, providing a better choice for clinical treatment of acute lum-bar sprains.
