The Influence of Environmental Comfort on Youth Sports Participation in China——Empirical Analysis Based on CGSS Survey Data
Based on the comfort theory and social ecology theory, using the 2015 China Comprehensive Social Sur-vey(CGSS)data,the study uses a binary logistic model to explore the impact and mechanism of environmental comfort(public environment, social environment)on youth sports participation in China. The benchmark regres-sion results show that the comfort of public and social environments has a significant positive impact on youth sports participation, and the conclusion is still valid after robustness testing; The intermediary effect analysis shows that subjective well-being plays a partial intermediary role in the impact of public and social environmental comfort on youth sports participation, accounting for 11.3%and 13.94%of the total effect; The analysis of regulatory effect shows that socioeconomic status plays a regulatory role in the relationship between public environmental comfort and social environmental comfort on youth sports participation.Based on this, the government and various departments should strengthen the balanced allocation of public sports service resources in urban and rural areas, continuously improve the environmental quality and residential well-being of young people, and create conditions for promoting participation in sports activities.
