The Relationship Between Relative Deprivation and College Students'Sports Misbehavior:A Moderated Mediation Model
In order to clarify the path of relative deprivation's influence on sports misbehavior, this study construc-ted a moderated mediation model, focusing on the mediating role of self-esteem in the relationship as well as the moderating role of perceptual social support. The results showed that(1)relative deprivation positively predicted college students'sports misconduct;(2)self-esteem partially mediated the effect of relative deprivation on sports misconduct;(3)comprehension social support moderated the direct effect of relative deprivation on sports miscon-duct as well as the first half of the pathway of the mediating effect of self-esteem on relative deprivation and sports misconduct, and the relative deprivation's effect was more significant in the high-comprehension social support level group. The findings of the study can help to reveal the pathways of sports misbehavior and its influencing fac-tors,which can provide reference value for intervening in the mental health and behavior of college students.
