Promoting Integrated Development Across the Taiwan Straits Through Chinese Modernization
Chinese modernization is based on China's national conditions and is characterized by features that are unique to the Chinese context.Economic relations across the Taiwan Straits have developed in and contributed to the process of pursuing Chinese modernization.Promoting integrated development across the Straits is an important part of the CPC's overall strategy for resolving the Taiwan question in the new era,and is also a new path for people and enterprises in Taiwan to participate in Chinese modernization.As Chinese modernization is entering a new development stage,the cross-Strait integrated development should be deepened in the new journey and further enrich the connotation of Chinese modernization through fully reflecting the direction and requirements of the new era,grounding its effort in the new development stage,upholding the basis that we are one family,applying the new development philosophy,and integrating into the new development dynamic.Setting up The Cross-Strait Integrated Demonstration Zone in Fujian Province is an implementation of the policy of the integrated development of the two sides and an exploration of new paths,models,and mechanisms for the integrated development,so as to give play to the overall-demonstration effect,promote integrated development across the Taiwan Straits,and consolidate the foundation for the peaceful reunification of China.
