Research on the"One Country,Two Systems"Solution to the Taiwan Question:Current Situation,Evaluation and Further Development Direction
Since General Secretary Xi Jinping delivered the speech at the meeting marking the 40th anniversary of the issuance of the Message to Compatriots in Taiwan,the academic community has conducted in-depth research on the topic of the"One Country,Two Systems"solution to the Taiwan question.The academic community mainly focuses on the research of the policy context,value and significance,institutional framework,implementation path,comparative reference and other issues of the the"One Country,Two Systems"solution to the Taiwan question.These achievements have formed the basic framework of the"One Country,Two Systems"solution to the Taiwan question,enriched its content,and broadened the horizons of related research.However,there are also problems such as insufficient innovation,unbalanced distribution of research topics and content,relatively scarce research from a comparative political perspective,and unfocused research topics.It is suggested that the academic community should strengthen research on issues such as the implementation mechanisms of the system of co-governance and support between the central government and the Taiwan Special Administrative Region,the incorporation of opinions and suggestions from Taiwan compatriots,the future jurisdiction of the waters currently controlled by the Taiwan authorities,and in-depth exploration of the practical experience of"One Country,Two Systems"in Hong Kong and Macao,so as to further improve the feasibility of the"One Country,Two Systems"solution to the Taiwan question.
