Institutional Arrangement of Taiwan's International Participation after Reunification:Basic Principles and Directions:Discussion on the"One Country,Two Systems"Solution to the Taiwan Question
Taiwan's international participation is a sensitive political issue involving China's sovereignty and security.It is an extension of Taiwan's political positioning in the international community within the one-China framework.From the perspective of benefiting Taiwan's development and governance,as well as responding to the high expectations of the residents on the island,it is of great significance to explore the institutional arrangements for the international participation of the Taiwan Special Administrative Region after reunification.The institutional arrangements for the international participation of the Taiwan SAR must ensure China's sovereignty and security,and the prosperity and stability of the Taiwan SAR,while following the principles of"one country,one government",local political power,the structure of China's unitary state,and the particularity of the Taiwan SAR.In the future,it is suggested to explore the institutional arrangements of the Taiwan SAR's international participation in terms of foreign contracting,participation in international organizations and their activities,establishing representative offices with other countries or regions,exit and entry administration,and the issuance of passports and other tourist documents,etc.Attention should be paid to the influence of the application of authorization,methods,anti-interference and separatism on the institutional arrangements for international participation.
