Promoting the Reunification of the Motherland with Chinese-Style Modernization:Realistic Challenges and Practical Paths
Chinese-style modernization provides important spiritual driving force and solid material foundation for national reunification,and national reunification is one of the important goals of Chinese-style modernization.In the process of Chinese-style modernization,promoting national reunification is faced with the interference and destruction of the international anti-China forces and the"Taiwan independence"separatist forces in the island,the conflict and competition of the interests of economic globalization,and the difference in cultural identity and insufficient exchanges between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits.To this end,we need to effectively respond to these challenges from the political,economic,cultural and social levels,and constantly promote the great cause of national reunification.At the political level,we need to formulate clear policy objectives,firmly safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity,enhance China's voice in international affairs,and create favorable external conditions for peace and stability in cross-Strait relations;At the economic level,we should deepen the integrated economic development of both sides of the Taiwan Straits,promote the common well-being of the people on both sides through economic cooperation and mutual benefits and win-win results,and provide a solid material foundation for the realization of national reunification;At the cultural level,we should strengthen cross-Strait cultural exchanges and dissemination,enhance mutual understanding and identification,promote the harmony of compatriots on both sides,and lay a solid public opinion foundation for the realization of national reunification;At the social level,we need to deepen the social integration between the two sides,enhance the sense of belonging and identity of the Taiwan residents through deepening the interaction between families and religions of the two sides,and form the popular desire to promote the reunification of the two sides.
