Efficacy and safety of cryoballoon ablation in patients with atrial fibrillation and hypertension
Objective To assess the safety, efficacy and clinical success of CB2-based PVI in patients with atrial fibrilla-tion and hypertension.Methoods A total of 1 027 patients were enrolled in the study from July 2016 to October 2019 in Fujian Provincial Hospital. All patients were divided into hypertension group and control group.Baseline data, perioperative parameters, perioperative complications were recorded. The 12-month,24-month,36-month freedom from AF recurrence were comparative analyzed in two groups by Kaplan-Meier.Results Baseline data in two groups were different in diabetes mellitus, coronary heart disease, atrial diameter,BMI,CHA2DS2-VASC,HAS-BLED(P>0.05).Periprocedural parameters were similar between two groups.Major periprocedural complications were comparable(3.3%vs.3.0%;P=1);The 12-month,24-month,36-month freedom from AF recurrence were(82.0%vs.81.2%;74.9%vs.72.9%;66.3%vs.72.9%),sur-vival curves showed no statistic difference follow-up(95%CI:0.75,1.4;P=0.23).Conclusion The safety and success rate of second-generation cryoballoon pulmonary vein isolation PVI in the treatment of atrial fibrillation with hypertension are as good as those in the treatment of non-hypertension.
