Effect of Liuzijue Combined with Routine Rehabilitation Training on Executive Function in Patients with Mild Post-Stroke Cognitive Impairment
Objective:To observe effect of Liuzijue combined with routine rehabilitation training on executive function in pa-tients with mild post-stroke cognitive impairment (PSCI). Methods:A total of seventy mild PSCI patients who visited the Rehabilita-tion Hospital of Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from November 2021 to October 2022 were selected and randomly assigned to control group and Liuzijue group,with 35 patients in each group,using SPSS 26.0 software to generate random numbers and sealed envelopes. During the study,2 cases fell out of the control group and 2 cases fell out of the Liuzijue group. In the end,33 cases each completed the experiment in both groups. The control group received routine medicine therapy and rehabilitation training,while the Liuzijue group received Liuzijue training on the basis of the control group's treatment,with 3 times per session,1 session per day for 12 weeks. The working memory[verbal fluency test (VFT) score],inhibitory control[correct number and time of cards A,B,and C,Stroop interference effect (SIE) time,SIE correct number],and cognitive flexibility[trail making test (TMT)-A,TMT-B time and error number]were evaluated,and the modified Barthel index (MBI) was measured. Results:Compared with those before intervention,the VFT and MBI scores of the two groups significantly increased (P<0.05),and the SCWT of card A,B C,and SIE time-consuming significantly decreased (P<0.05). SCWT of card C and SIE correct number significantly increased (P<0.05),and TMT-A and TMT-B time-consuming significantly decreased (P<0.05). The SCWT of card B correct number of the Liuzijue group significantly increased and SIE time-consuming of the Liuzijue group significantly decreased (P<0.05). Compared with the control group,the VFT and MBI scores of the Liuzijue group significantly increased after intervention (P<0.05),and the SCWT of card A,B C,and SIE time-consuming significantly decreased (P<0.05),while SCWT of card B,C and SIE correct number significantly increased (P<0.05). TMT-A and TMT-B time-consuming significantly decreased (P<0.05). Conclusion:Liuzijue combined with routine rehabilitation training can effectively improve executive function and ADL in PSCI.
