The Party and the state have consistently emphasized the importance of the education on the inheritance of red gene.The 20th National Congress of the Party outlined the direction of the Chinese Communists to inherit the red gene in the new era.To explore the theoretical and practical focal points of research on inheritance education of red gene in colleges and universities,this study analyzed 210 articles and 170 copies of relative policy by using the analysis method of keyword co-occur-rence network.The study finds that the focal points encompass the essence and the significance of education on the inheritance of red gene,its educational practices,and its inheritance pathways,while the focuses on policy include the safeguarding of red resources and the revolutionary education among the youth.Therefore,in the Internet era,innovative approaches are needed for the inheritance education of red gene in colleges and universities and it is recommended to enhance"Internet+"thinking,imple-ment the development of"Great Ideological and Political Courses",and explore the establishment of a new paradigm for digital education.
