Research on the microstructure and properties of copper based friction materials for wind power torque limiters
Copper based friction materials for wind power torque limiters were prepared by powder metallurgy technology, and the microstructure and properties of the friction materials were characterized by scanning elec-tron microscopy, electronic universal testing machine, and friction material testing machine. The results show that the microstructure of copper based wind power friction materials is uniform, and Al2O3 friction components and graphite lubrication components are uniformly distributed on the copper matrix.Friction materials have good me-chanical properties, with an average hardness of 56.5HBW,a maximum compressive strength of 327 MPa,and an average adhesive strength of 31.7 MPa.Friction tests a conducted under normal pressures of 14,20,and 25 MPa,and the friction coefficient remains stable at around 0.5.The torque is stable during the test, and the surface con-dition of the friction material is good after the test;Under the maximum positive pressure test condition of 25 MPa,the wear of the friction material is only 2.82 g.The copper based friction materials for wind power torque limiters prepared by powder metallurgy process has a uniform structure and good performance, which can meet the requirements of different positive pressure working conditions.
