Wang Pang's The New Biography of Nanhua Scripture explores the logical correlation between each chapter of Chuang-Tzu,and regards the inner chapters as a progressive whole, forming a complete life system.A-mong the seven chapters,XiaoYaoYou is the general preface, and the remaining six chapters are paired in pairs, reflecting respectively the three stages of mind-forming:"self-preservation"of individuals,"preservation"of hu-man life and from"self-preservation"to"preservation in nature".Thereby,it is demonstrated that the theory of"action into inaction"runs through Wang Pang's thought all along and the theory concerns and ideological impli-cations of Wang Anshi new school are also unfolded.
