Determination of Rare Earth Elements in Peanut by Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry
The method has been established for simultaneous determination of 14 rare earth elements (REEs)in peanut, including La、Ce、Pr、Nd、Sm、 Eu、Gd、Tb、Dy、 Ho、 Er、Tm、 Yb and Lu,by eight pole collision/reaction pool(ORS)-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS). After microwave digestion of the samples,103 Rh as internal standard elements can effectively eliminate the matrix effect, and spectral interference was effectively eliminated by ORS. The value of background equivalent concentration (BEC) was the lowest when the flow rate of helium was 4. 5 mL/min. The results showed that sample was completely digested by 4 mL HN2O3 and 1 mL H2 O2 , the detection limits were below 0.0011 ng/mL, and the values of RSD(%)were below 2. 60%. The analysis of certified reference material provided satisfactory results for all the elements. This method is simple, rapid and accurate, and can be used as a reliable method to determine rare earth elements in peanut.
