Analysis of Aroma Components in Essential Oils from Bamboo Leaves by HD-GC/MS
Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) was used to determine the main aroma components in essential oils of bamboo leaves, such as Pleioblastus maculatus leaves, etc.which was obtained by hydro-distillation from seven bamboo species. Results showed that there were eight components such as benzaldehyde,trans-2,4-heptadienal,safranal,(E)-damascenone,α-ionone,geranyl aeetone,β-ionone,hexahydrofarnesyl acetone in all the essential oils. There were obvious differences in both components and relative contents among the essential oils of seven species of bamboo leaves, and some special components such as copaene,α-bisabolol,(E,E,E,E)-squalene were found in these oils, which indicated that essential oils obtained from various bamboo leaves might be more valuable and have better utilization in the future.
