Progress in the Application of Persistent Luminescence Nanoparticles-based Aptasensors for Food Safety Detection
The rapid development of the food industry is inseparable from the construction of a safety system.Food safety detection is of great relevance to the economy and people's livelihood, and is a research hotspot in the field of analytical chemistry.Persistent luminescence nanoparticles(PLNPs)are ideal optical materials that can store excitation energy and emit long-lasting and reproducible luminescence after ceasing excitation.Such unique properties permit autofluorescence-free luminescent sensing.Aptamers are oligonucleotide sequences with recognition properties, fast response and high specificity and sensitivity. The bonding of the two groups allows the construction of probes with unique properties that produce signal changes in response to target stimuli and hold great promise for food safety testing. Therefore, the design principles and the recent progress of PLNPs-based aptasensors for food safety detection developed in recent years are summarized in this paper. The focus is on design strategies to achieve optical activation of the sensors,a brief introduction to the research applications of the corresponding principles, and the challenges and opportunities of this technology are also discussed to promote the development of food safety detection.
