Silver Nanoclusters Using Phloxine B as Stabilizer and the Application in the Detection of Berberine
A new silver nanocluster(AgNCs)was synthesized using phloxine B as a stabilizer, silver nitrate as the raw material, and sodium borohydride as a reducing agent for more than 4 hours. The AgNCs have the optimal excitation wavelength of 339 nm and the optimal emission wavelength of 444 nm,which exhibit blue fluorescence under ultraviolet lamp irradiation.Research has found that Berberine(BH)can significantly quench the fluorescence of AgNCs.At the same time, the change values of the AgNCs fluorescence intensity(△IF)showed a good linear relationship with the BH concentrations in the ranging from 1.25 to 12.50 μmol/L with the detection limit of 0.41 μmol/L.Thus,a simple and rapid method for detecting BH has been established.Further research has found that there is a gradient change between the color and concentration of the mixing solution in the range from 1.25 to 12.50 μmol/L when the mixing solution is illuminated with a UV lamp,so a simpler visual semi-quantitative detection method for BH can be established.
