Simultaneous Determination of Multiple Heavy Metals in High Salt Foods by Solid Phase Extraction-Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry
In this paper,a method based on solid phase extraction(SPE)and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS)detection was established for the determination of 12 heavy metal elements, including V,Mn,Fe,Co,Ni,Cu,Zn,Ga,Cd,Sn,Pb and U in high salt products. After the sample was digested by microwave digestion, the obtained sample solution was adjusted to pH 5.0±0.5 by using 1 mol/L ammonium acetate buffer solution. Then, iminodiacetic acid chelating resin packed SPE column was used to adsorb target metal ions and separate interfering salts(e.g.,Na+and K+).Diluted nitric acid(2 mol/L)was used for subsequent elution of target metal ions, followed by ICP-MS detection. The established method can reduce the interference caused by salt in the matrix. It is featured with good reproducibility, and suitable for the determination of 12 heavy metal elements in high salt samples.
