Metaverse space currency,collections and service-type virtual properties(data corresponding to objects in the metaverse space)can be the targets of property crimes.In terms of economic value and transaction model,virtual property in the metaverse space is not different from general property in the real space.Both can be expressed as general items,com-modities or property interests.The legal interest infringed by property crime is the victim's de facto control over the property.In the metaverse space,whether an actor re-establishes a de facto dominance relationship over a specific virtual property is a sign of whether he has acquired other people's virtual property.Because the metaverse has complete authenticity,there are more ways to illegally obtain other people's virtual property in the metaverse.Combining the use of different behavioral types and means such as violence,coercion,fraud,embezzlement,secret theft,and blatant seizure,the possible property crimes in the metaverse space are more abundant and diverse than in traditional cyberspace.We should rely on the property attributes and reality of virtual property in the metaverse space and regulate the infringement of other people's virtual property in the meta-verse space based on the relevant provisions of property crimes in the current criminal law.
