The New Exploration on the Title of Fuyang Armed Uprising in 1928
The Fuyang armed uprising on April 9,1928,led and launched by the Northern Anhui Special Committee of the CPC,was an earlier and large-scale armed uprising after the Nanchang Uprising, the Autumn Harvest Uprising, and the Guangzhou Uprising.Comrade Mao Zedong spoke highly of it.Regarding the title of this uprising, there are various expressions in the literature, such as"Northern Anhui Agrarian Revolutionary Riot","Northern Anhui Riot","Fuyang Riot","49 Riot","49 Uprising"and"Fuyang Uprising".At present, the title of"49 Uprising"widely used in Party history works and publicity education does not follow the general principle of"place name+uprising"of the armed uprising during the Agrarian Revolutionary War in China, which is not conducive to the inheritance and promotion of the revolutionary spirit; The title"Fuyang Uprising"should be used, which not only reflects the standardization and seriousness of the title, but also is conducive to the deepening and expansion of academic research, the protection and utilization of ruins and relics, and the continuous inheritance of red blood.
