Huainan Zi is an epoch-making academic masterpiece in the history of Chinese thought,which involves many fields,including rich design color theory.This paper analyzes the formation and development of Huainan Zi's five-element color theory,then summarizes its five-color aesthetic view,and finally discusses the application and influence of Huainan Zi's five-element color theory.The research on the design color thought of Huainanzi is a new attempt to interpret the literature method,and provides reference and inspiration for the inheritance and development of the design color culture in the new era.
