The Ming Dynasty was one of the most prosperous periods of Chinese poetics,and there began to be a consciousness of the view of poetry development history.Wang Shizhen's idea of"there is prosperity in decline and decline in prosperity"and Hu Yinglin's idea of"poetry changes with the times"and"style declines with the times"influenced the formation of Xu Xueyi's concept of poetry development history.From a diachronic macro perspective,Xu Xueyi takes the view of rationality and trend as the starting point,takes the main line of positive change,and presents the evolution logic of"positive,""change,"and"extinction"of poetic styles in the interweaving of autonomy and heteronomy.It also demonstrates the characteristics of"poetic style changes"through negation of negation.His analysis of the evolution path of poetry,expression of the view of rationality and trend,and interpretation of heteronomy and autonomy comprehensively present his concept of poetic history.He criticized the poetic theory of Gong'an,inherited and developed Wang Shizhen and Hu Yinglin's poetic history thoughts,laying the foundation for the final formation of the view of poetry development history in the Qing Dynasty.
