The spirit of Cihuai New River is the spiritual fruit of the Communist Party of China leading the people in northern Anhui to control the Huai River flood and benefit the people.The excellent Chinese traditional culture,Huaihe culture and red revolutionary culture are the cultural basis of the spirit of the New River,the people in the north of Anhui suffer from the flood and urgently need to change the status quo is the realistic basis of the spirit of the New River,and the Marxist view of practice and people is the theoretical basis of the spirit of the New River.Its basic connotations are unity and struggle,courage to take responsibility;self-reliance and hard work in starting an undertaking;disregard of gain or loss and selfless dedication;scientific innovation and overcoming difficulties.To inherit and carry forward the spirit of Cihuai New River in the new era,we need to make joint efforts in three aspects:strengthening systematic research,carrying out three-dimensional publicity,and strengthening key education.
