On Reception of Qu Yuan's Poetic Style in Li Bai's Fu Writings
As a medium for Li Bai to realize his ideals,Fu(a type of prose poetry)is an essential component of his literary creations.Li Bai's first stop after leaving Shu and the place where he lived for a decade was the region of Chu,and it was also the region of Chu where he was exiled and pardoned later in life, traveled extensively. His Fu writings are imbued with Chu cultural elements and deeply influenced by Qu Yuan's poetic style, both in terms of linguistic style and form of expression.Due to shared political ideals and experiences,Li Bai not only inherited Qu Yuan's ideal of benevolent governance but also resonated with his feelings of loyalty and grievance across time and space.Li Bai had reservations about Qu Yuan's choice of drowning himself, which must be analyzed dialectically and cautiously.
