An Artistic Geographical Study of Yingzhou Landscape Painting's Integration of Northern and Southern Styles in the Qing Dynasty
During the Qing Dynasty,Yingzhou spanned both sides of the Huaihe River, boasting a transitional natural geography and an integrated human geography. This unique geographical situation not only provided the landscape painters of Yingzhou in the Qing Dynasty with subjects to depict but also engaged in continuous dialogue and interaction with them, influencing their creative consciousness and enabling their paintings to exhibit an artistic style that combined elements of both the north and the south.Based on the artistic concept of integrating the north and the south, the intense emotions of southern painters and the ethical aspirations of northern painters dissipated in the minds of the landscape painters of Yingzhou's painting circle, generating a sense of balance and strength within them.Ultimately, their works presented an aesthetic form that encompassed both the spiritual and the material.
