Using multiple novels published in the early stages of La Jeunesse as the source material,three linguistic expressions are extracted:classical Chinese,vernacular Chinese,and Europeanized language.Based on the description of linguistic phenomena,this paper analyzes the two rhetorical features of mixed classical and vernacular Chinese and Europeanization formed by these three discourse systems in the novel style of La Jeunesse,and discovers that the novels published in the early stages of La Jeunesse influenced the narrative strategies of modern Chinese vernacular novels,having a profound impact on linguistic expressions and rhetorical features.
