Abstract
A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains is a new work by the avant-garde representative writer Sun Ganlu,marking a breakthrough in his writing style.Taking revolutionary historical events as the clue,the novel narrates the sincere beliefs and fearless sacrifices of the members of the Chinese Communist underground organization led by Chen Qianli amidst the turbulent revolutionary tide,providing a valuable paradigm for contemporary literary portrayals of red themes.The novel exhibits a unique artistic style in four aspects:characterization,language use,environmental construction,and narrative arrangement.It seamlessly blends elements such as revolutionary underground work,urban landscapes,and suspense and deduction,vividly portraying the heaviness of faith and the lightness of art.A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountainsrepresents a successful practice of Sun Ganlu's literary innovation.
