New Orientations of National Interpreting Education in the ChatGPT Era

摘要
随着人工智能技术的更新迭代,特别是ChatGPT等自然语言处理技术的出现,国家口译教育站在了技术和知识的前沿,面临着前所未有的机遇和挑战.本文为迎合国家对中华文化外译及国际传播等日益变化的口译需求,通过对口译教育的衍进与现状分析,提出了"国家口译教育"之新构念,明晰了"国家口译教育"之新策略,明确了从传统口译教育到现代"国家口译教育"之六大转向,指出了 ChatGPT时代"国家口译教育"之新向度.这些新向度不仅包括对职业译员、口译教师、学生译员以及口译研究者的教育,还涵盖口译教育内容的更新、口译教学方法的创新以及口译职业发展的规范.急国家口译人才培养之所急,需国际传播人才培养之所需,此研究意义重大.
Abstract
With the iterative updating of artificial intelligence(AI)technology,especially with the emergence of natural language processing technologies like ChatGPT,national interpreting education stands at the forefront of technology and knowledge,facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges.This article aims to cater to the increasingly changing interpreting needs of the country for the translation and international communication of Chinese culture.Through an analysis of the evolution and current situation of interpreting education,a new concept of"national interpreting education"is proposed,and new strategies of national interpreting education is clarified.This article clarifies the six major turns from traditional interpreting education to modern national interpreting education,and points out the new orientations of national interpreting education in the ChatGPT era.These new orientations not only include education for professional interpreters,interpreting teachers,student interpreters,and interpreting researchers,but also cover the updating of interpreting education content,innovation in interpreting teaching methods,and regulations for the development of the interpreting profession.To meet the urgent need for cultivation of national interpreting talent and international communication talent is of great research significance.
