基于眼动追踪实验的字幕翻译认知加工接受度研究

摘要
如今,视听材料在英语学习中广泛应用,然而英语学习者通过观看字幕、翻译视听材料进行英语学习的效度和接受度尚不确定.鉴于此,本研究以中文字幕翻译的英文科普类视听材料为研究素材,以复旦大学选修"英语口译"的108名本科生为研究对象,以眼动追踪实验的实证研究方法来考察字幕翻译的接受者,即受众在观看字幕翻译多模态文本中的信息获取量.本文通过眼动追踪技术记录被试观看视听材料的眼动数据,并与问卷及内容复述相结合的形式,即数据+问卷+复述三合一测试法,考察被试在字幕翻译多模态文本视读中的认知加工效度和接受度.本研究提出的扩大词汇策略、有效视读策略、扫视视读能力策略、体认策略以及灵动认知策略等对于提升学生对字幕翻译视听材料的理解度、接受度以及学生的英语学习效度具有积极的作用.
Abstract
Nowadays,audiovisual materials are widely used in English learning,but English learners'validity and acceptance of learning by watching subtitles and translating audiovisual materials are still uncertain.In view of this,this study takes popular science audiovisual materials in English with Chinese subtitle translation as the research material,and 108 undergraduate students who studied English Interpreting at Fudan University as the research objects.The empirical research method of eye-tracking experiments is used to examine the receiver's amount of information obtained in watching multimodal texts of subtitle translation.This article uses eye-tracking technology to record the eye movement data of subjects watching audiovisual materials,and combines it with questionnaires and content retelling.The three in one test method of"data+questionnaire+rehearsal"(D+Q+R)is used to examine the cognitive processing validity and acceptance of subjects in multimodal text reading of subtitle translation.The strategies proposed in this study,including expanding vocabulary,effective visual reading,scanning and reading abilities,experiential recognition,and agile cognitive strategies,have a positive effect on improving students'understanding and acceptance of subtitle translation audiovisual materials,as well as their English learning effectiveness.
