"应用翻译"之名:术语英译与翻译规范
The Naming of Pragmatic Translation Studies:C-E Translation of Terminology and Translation Norms

摘要
术语是特定学科知识体系中用来表达概念的表征,昭示着其理论创新和思维特征.应用翻译研究是改革开放后具有本土特色的译学知识体系.本文基于中国知网收录的136条材料,梳理了术语"应用翻译"的四种英译知识生产现状.研究发现,术语"应用翻译"英译的知识生产和翻译规范有悖于术语基本特征.有鉴于此,本文认为术语"应用翻译"的英译与翻译规范需厘清术语的历史渊源和规范其英译传播,进而服务我国译学话语体系建设和国际化传播需求,为世界译学发展提供中国观点和中国方案.
Abstract
Terminology serves as the framework for expressing concepts in the knowledge system of a specific discipline,reflecting its theoretical creativity and cognitive attributes.Pragmatic Translation Studies(应用翻译研究)is a system of translation knowledge with local characteristics developed in Chinese academia after the reform and opening up.Based on the 136 documents collected by China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),this paper examines the current landscape of knowledge production on the C-E translation of"应用翻译".It is revealed that the norms in translating the term"应用翻译"and its knowledge production defy the fundamental characteristics of terminology.In view of this,this paper believes that,for the English translation and translation norms of the term"应用翻译",it is essential to delve into the historical development of the term and regularize its dissemination,so as to contribute to the construction of Chinese translation discourse and meet the requirements of international communication,and to provide a Chinese perspective and solution for the advancement of global translation studies.
