摘要

词典使用是翻译过程中的关键策略.本研究采用有声思维法与刺激回忆法,以CATTI日语笔译(三级)考试中的翻译任务为对象,从词典的使用次数、使用目的和使用效果(译文质量)三个维度,深入探讨了日语学习者在日译汉和汉译日两种翻译任务中的词典使用行为,以及其与译文质量的相关性.研究表明,不同翻译方向上的词典使用行为存在显著差异,且与译文质量的提升紧密相关.在汉译日过程中,词典使用行为与译文质量之间的正相关性尤为显著,特别是在探索未知内容方面,词典的有效使用显著促进了译文质量的提升.本研究为揭示翻译过程中的隐性认知活动提供了新的视角,并基于实证结果,对日汉互译的教学和实践提出了有益的改进建议.

Abstract

Dictionary use is a key strategy in the translation process.This study employs think-aloud protocols and stimulated recall,focusing on translation tasks from the CATTI Japanese Translation(Level 3)examination,to explore in depth the dictionary use behavior of Japanese learners in both Japanese-to-Chinese and Chinese-to-Japanese translation tasks,and its correlation with translation quality.It examines dictionary use from three dimensions:frequency of use,purpose of use,and effect of use(quality of the translated text).This study reveals significant differences in dictionary use behavior between the two translation directions,which are closely related to the improvement of translation quality.In the Chinese-to-Japanese translation process,the positive correlation between dictionary use behavior and translation quality is particularly pronounced,especially in the exploration of unknown content,where effective use of dictionaries significantly improves translation quality.This research provides a new perspective on the implicit cognitive activities in the translation process and offers practical suggestions for teaching and practicing translation between Japanese and Chinese based on empirical findings.
