Bioaccumulation characteristics of Hg,As and Cd in several typical macroinvertebrates off the coast of Qinhuangdao
Three typical macroinvertebrates,Mytilus edulis,Ostrea gigas and Rapana venosa, were selected from Qinhuangdao Port, and the mass fraction of Hg,As and Cd were analyzed. The correla-tions between the contents of those three pollutants and allometric parameters of three organisms were analyzed, and the differences in the bioconcentration ability to Hg,As and Cd of these three organisms were compared. The results showed that Rapana venosa were more likely to bioaccumulate Hg and As,while Ostrea gigas had a stronger ability to enrich Cd.Hg concentration of Mytilus edulis and Ostrea gigas were both significantly increased with growth(P<0.05).As for Rapana venosa, its bioconcentra-tion factors of As and Cd were both significantly(P<0.05)decreased with growth parameters.Considering the influence of enrichment ability and growth parameters,Ostrea gigas can be used as the monitoring organism of Cd and Rapana venosa can be used as the monitoring organism of Hg in Qinhuangdao coastal sea area.
